Late-night talk show host Stephen Colbert has been married to his wife, Evelyn McGee-Colbert, in 1993. The pair has been together for over 25 years now, which is a long time for marriages in Hollywood. Interestingly, their love story is an adorable and fateful one. They met when Stephen took a trip to his hometown of Charleston, South Carolina. The trip was meant to sort his feelings out with his ex-girlfriend, who wanted to get married at the time. Eventually, Stephen roamed around Charleston and managed to cross paths with Evelyn at the Spoleto Festival.

Saying that it was love at first sight for Stephen and Evelyn would be an understatement. Stephen knew that Evelyn was the woman that she was going to marry when she first saw her at the Spoleto festival. To his credit, he was true to his word as he married the “beautiful woman in a black linen dress” that he saw at the Spoleto Festival.
