RINGO STARR AND BARBARA BACH – 37 YEARS

The Beatles drummer Ringo Starr was born Richard Starkey and reached worldwide fame for his association with the iconic band. Starr’s solo career also culminated in his 1973 platinum hit single Ringo. Bach is a model and used to be a bond girl. He met Barbara Bach while filming the slapstick comedy movie Caveman in 1980 and was immediately smitten with the Bond girl. They exchanged vows in April 1981. They had their wedding in a civil ceremony at the Marylebone Registry rather than a grand wedding.

Ringo had a reputation for being a womanizer. He also admitted that he’s “a drunk, a wife-beater, and an absent father,” which caused the breakdown of his first marriage with Maureen Cox. However, the actor-musician proved he could stick to a woman and be a dependable husband, looking after his family’s roofing and flooring. In fact, his marriage to Barbara remains strong after three decades.
