RON AND CHERYL HOWARD – 45 YEARS
American filmmaker and actor Ronald William Howard entered Hollywood as a child actor. They appeared in several TV shows including The Twilight Zone, The Andy Griffith Show and Happy Days, where he became a household name until he left the show in 1980 to pursue his passion in film directing. His decision proved right as he quickly received critical and commercial success and won accolades, including an Academy Award for Best Director, Academy Award for Best Picture, and National Medal of Arts.
The Hollywood Walk of Fame two-star inductee married writer Cheryl Alley in 1975 and has stayed in love with her up to the present time. From a high school sweetheart to a celebrity couple, Ron Howard and Cheryl Howard have come a long way since they met. They’ve been together since John Burroughs high school in Burbank, California. In fact, the filmmaker attributed his 44 year marriage to Cheryl’s way of communicating. Their three children are fortunate never to have to worry about student loans in the future.
