DENZEL WASHINGTON AND PAULETTA PEARSON – 37 YEARS

Denzel Washington discovered his talent in acting when he attended a camp talent show in his youth. His friends and colleagues then suggested that he should pursue an acting career. The actor then got a degree in drama and journalism at Fordham University. He landed a minor role in Wilma, got his big break in St. Elsewhere, and the rest is history.

On the set of Wilma, he met his future wife, Pauletta Pearson, and the two started dating shortly afterward. They married on June 25, 1983, but the funny thing is, Washington had to propose to her thrice because she didn’t say yes the first and second time. Since then, they have welcomed four kids: John David, who is also an actor, Katia, and twins Olivia and Malcolm. “My wife made our house a home and raised beautiful kids,” the Malcolm X actor revealed.
