Music legend Elton John and his husband Canadian filmmaker David Furnish are probably one of the first high-profile same-sex couple to ever get married. The two have been together for a long time and they have been very open about their relationship with each other. They are always together wherever they go, from events and engagements to simple errands. They are always affectionate with each other even in public.

The pair met in 1993 when the Tiny Dancer singer had just come home to Windsor, England after having been in Atlanta for a while. He wanted to socialize with the local crowd more, so he threw a party at his house. Furnish was only there to accompany an invited friend but a great relationship bloomed from then on. They apparently found electricity with one another in an instant. They had a civil partnership in 2005, which was followed by their wedding the moment same-sex marriage was legalized in 2014.
