ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER – EST. $1.5 BILLION
Throughout his career, he has composed some of the world’s most beloved musicals—many of which have songs that managed to transcend the theatre stage. He was also ranked fifth when it came to The Daily Telegraph’s Most Powerful Person in British Culture. The New York Times even gave him credit for being the most commercially successful composer in history. Aside from numerous awards and even receiving Knighthood in 1992, he also owns one of the largest theatre operators across London: The Really Useful Group.
In April of 2020, he announced that he would be streaming productions of his musicals for free on YouTube as a means of providing entertainment to people around the world during the current global situation. Thanks to his numerous contributions to the industry, Andrew is often considered the one who reinvented the musical genre. In fact, many of his works have also since been adapted to film, including The Phantom of the Opera, Evita, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
