We know him best for his portrayal of Luke Skywalker, one of the most enduring and iconic characters in the Star Wars saga, and arguably in pop culture, too. However, not many know that he also gets credit for providing voice work for some of the biggest franchises in the industry—including Avatar: The Last Airbender, Spider-Man, and Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. That’s on top of the many other characters he has voiced throughout the years. With that said, though, fans of the actor often consider his performance of Batman’s arch-nemesis, the Joker, as his most iconic performance in the voice acting business.

When he’s not voicing our favorite animated characters in TV, films, or videogames, Mark Hamill also likes to keep busy with his work as a writer. His miniseries, The Black Pearl, was published by Dark Horse Comics back in 1996. He’s also worked on a few stories for Simpsons Comics, including the Justice League parody and Catastrophe in Substitute Springfields.
