Tiger Woods wouldn’t be considered the richest golfer in the world for nothing. He also is one of the most famous athletes of all time. We are all familiar with his prowess when on the green, setting numerous golf records and currently ranking second place in men’s major championships. Back in 2019, he was even awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom—making him only the fourth golfer to be honored with it. He will be inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2021.

In 2009, Forbes reported that he came in second, behind Oprah Winfrey, when it came to the richest person of color in the United States. This isn’t too surprising, given that he once received a $10 million bonus for winning the FedEx Cup title. Part of his income came from prize money in various competitions. Like other dominant athletes, most of Tiger’s wealth is attributed to endorsements.
