He went from having a small segment on The Oprah Winfrey Show, to having his own show. Many people tend to make the mistake of thinking that he is a practicing psychologist—however, this is not the case. While he does hold a doctorate in clinical psychology, Dr. Phil is not licensed to practice. Instead, he provides people with advice through his program.

Back in 2006, he ranked at number 22 on Forbes Celebrity 100 list, with credit to his $80 million income. Outside of hosting, he has also participated in reality shows, has published three books, and even once dabbled in the weight-loss business. Evidently, he is not only prolific but also very adventurous in his business and career endeavors. It just goes to show that hard work really pays off as now he already has almost $500 Million for his net worth! Imagine all the work that led to that amount!
