THE WEEKND – EST. $100 MILLION

From YouTube star to becoming one of the world’s bestselling artists, Abel Makkonen Tesfaye has had quite the rise to the top. After posting more than a few of his songs on the video-streaming platform, The Weeknd eventually landed a deal with Republic Records, where he then worked on many of his iconic tracks. Since then, The Weeknd has gained widespread recognition thanks to his catchy tunes like Can’t Feel My Face, The Hills, Earned It, and, of course, Blinding Lights. His income doesn’t just come from his music alone, however.

Abel is also a prolific businessman, with numerous collaborations to his name. From condoms to e-cigarettes, he makes sure to maximize the best of his creativity. The most profitable of these investments, however, would be his partnership with Puma. With them, he has released three capsule collections of various apparel, including a pair of shoes aptly called the “Parallels.” He also bought part of the ownership for the OverActive Media Group back in 2019.
